Incident at 10301 Sandpiper August 7, 2007 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 10301 Sandpiper about 11:55 p.m. on Monday (August 6). The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending notification to next of kin. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Sosa and Officer T.A. Andrade reported: Witnesses stated the victim, who is believed to be from Louisiana, had been talking to an unknown male in the apartment complex courtyard. A short time later a shot was heard and the victim was found deceased. There is no suspect, information or a motive in this case at this time.
