Traffic Incident at 7400 Katy Freeway August 26, 2007 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 7400 Katy Freeway service road about 2 a.m. today (Aug. 26). The female victim, whose identity is pending notification to next of kin, was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant D. Morgan and Officer J. Vera reported: Three motorcycles were traveling east in the 7400 block of the Katy Freeway service road when one motorcycle entered the freeway. The victim of the second motorcycle also attempted to enter the freeway when she struck a curb and went airborne approximately five feet and then landed face down. The driver of the third motorcycle stopped and was later arrested for driving while under the influence. The driver of the motorcycle that entered the freeway never returned to the scene.
