Incident at 10956 Village Bend December 9, 2007 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 10956 Village Bend about 2:30 p.m. on Saturday (Dec. 8). The victim is identified as Lawrence James Holmes, 18, of 7906 Wilcrest #A. He suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers R. Cervantes and T. McCorvey reported: A witness heard a gunshot and then found Mr. Holmes lying in a grassy area near unit #10956. Holmes had sustained a gunshot wound to the back of the head. There is no known suspect(s) or motive in the incident at this time.
