Update on Incident at 4114 Fulton

December 20, 2007 - Houston police homicide investigators have determined through forensic evidence that one of two suspects wanted in the fatal shooting of a woman and wounding of a man at 4114 Fulton about 8:45 p.m. on December 14 was a male found deceased in a nearby neighborhood.

The deceased male suspect, Lisbon Wilkins (b/m, DOB: 6-18-80), was found shortly after the shooting. Investigators are still trying to identify a second suspect in the killing of Janette Dominguez, 68, who suffered gunshot wounds and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where she later died. A second victim, a security guard, suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in stable condition.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. A. Odom and Officer J.L Coffelt reported:

Wilkins and another suspect attempted to rob the Fiesta Mart at 4114 Fulton. A security guard was shot while he exchanged gunfire with both suspects. Ms. Dominguez, a patron, was shot several times.

Investigators believed the security guard wounded one of the suspects. Both suspects fled the scene in a van that was located a short time later. According to witnesses, a third suspect picked up the two robbery suspects in another vehicle and fled the area.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a dead man in a nearby residential neighborhood shortly after the incident. The Harris County Medical Examiner’s office has identified the male as Wilkins.

Anyone with information on the identities of the two wanted suspects is urged to call the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
