Incident at 3204 Hinton December 25, 2007 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and the fatal stabbing of another man at 3204 Hinton about 4:30 a.m. today (December 25). The victim, Jerome Johnson, 37, of 3204 Hinton, suffered a stab wound to the chest and was transported to Doctor’s Hospital-Tidwell where he was pronounced dead. A second victim, Rudolf Zapata, 32, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was transported to Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital, where he later died. HPD Homicide Division Officers A. Brown and R. Swainson reported: Zapata and a female friend went to a residence located at 3204 Hinton to conduct a drug transaction and while inside the house, Zapata and Johnson got into an argument. Zapata stabbed Johnson, ran out of the house with a knife in his hand, got into the waiting vehicle and told the female to drive away. As the vehicle pulled away from the house, someone, possibly Johnson, fired a single shot through the passenger side of the vehicle and struck Zapata.
