Traffic Incident at 7000 Old Katy Road December 29, 2007 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at the 7000 block of Old Katy Road about 7:05 p.m. on Friday (December 28). The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office. HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant L. H. Lefler and Officer E. McClendon reported: The victim was riding a bicycle and attempted to cross south across the westbound lanes of Old Katy Road when he was struck by a blue Ford E-150 van, owned by Silver Eagle Distributors. The driver of the van was questioned and released at the scene and no charges are pending at this time.
