Traffic Incident at East Loop at East Freeway May 10, 2007 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at the East Loop (610 Loop) at the East Freeway (Interstate-10) about 10:05 p.m. on Wednesday (May 9). The male victim, in his early twenties, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office. HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant D.S. Runyan and Officer D.J. Gutierrez reported: The victim was riding a Suzuki with a group of motorcyclists north on the East Loop and exited the ramp to the East Freeway westbound, apparently at a high rate of speed. The victim struck a board on the roadway and fell off the motorcycle after striking the outside guardrail. No charges are pending at this time.
