Traffic Incident at North McCarty at West Old Spanish Trail May 11, 2007 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at North McCarty and West Old Spanish Trail about 8:20 p.m. on Thursday (May 10). The male victim’s identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant R.A. Gonzalez and Officers M. Lowder and V.V. Nguyen reported: The victim was driving a pickup truck north on North McCarty and struck a tractor-trailer at the intersection of West Old Spanish Trail. The tractor-trailer was leaving the stop sign at West Old Spanish Trail and attempting to turn south onto North McCarty. The driver of the tractor-trailer was cited for failure to yield right of way, leaving a stop sign in the accident. The victim was transported to LBJ Hospital where he later died.
