Traffic Incident at 5800 Old Spanish Trail May 20, 2007 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 5800 block of Old Spanish Trail about 8 a.m. on Saturday (May 19). The identity of the deceased male victim, 86, is being withheld pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office. HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant N.A. Perry and Officer J.R. Brashiers reported: The driver of a 1994 green GMC Sierra pickup truck was traveling west on Old Spanish Trail (OST) when his vehicle went off the road, crossed the median and then struck a 1988 white Chevrolet 3500 pickup truck traveling east on OST. The driver of the Chevrolet pickup was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the GMC pickup and one of his passengers suffered injuries and were transported to area hospitals. The investigation is continuing.
