Traffic Incident at 2 Elysian

May 26, 2007 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 2 Elysian about 10 p.m. on Friday (May 25).

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant R.C. Gonzales and Officers J. Vera and J. Perrotte reported:

A white GMC van was travelling south on Elysian when it stuck a vehicle and failed to stop and give information (FSRA). The van, subsequently made a U-turn and drove the wrong way on Elysian, striking a motorcycle that was travelling southbound. The driver on the motorcycle was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The victim’s identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office.
