Update on Incident at 3316 Desoto May 29, 2007 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the shooting of a juvenile at 3316 Desoto about 12:55 p.m. on May 24. Erin Eastland (b/m, DOB 3-28-90), has been charged with aggravated assault in the 262nd State District Court. The male victim, 14, suffered a gunshot wound to the upper torso and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in stable condition. His identity is being withheld at this time. HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Dillingham and T. Huynh reported: Erin Eastland was being assaulted by a group of juvenile males at 3316 Desoto when he managed to obtain a gun and shot the victim once in the chest. It was later determined that the victim was an innocent bystander who was watching the altercation. Eastland fled the scene and is still wanted.
