Update on Incident at 7710 Pointer May 31, 2007 - Charges are pending against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 7710 Pointer about 2 a.m. on Monday (May 28). Elijohara Y. McNeal, (b/m, DOB 1-25-87), faces a possible murder charge in the death of George Martin Walker, 38, of 7710 Pointer, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Sosa and C.E. Elliot and Officers T. Andrade, T.W. Miller and M. Miller reported: Mr. Walker walked out to his driveway and was shot by McNeal multiple times at close range. Witnesses said McNeal fled the location on foot but may have left in an unknown type of vehicle that was waiting for him further down the street. After a follow-up investigation, Elijohara McNeal was positively identified as the “shooter” and an arrest warrant was issued. McNeal was arrested in the 4600 block of Weaver Road today (May 31).
