Incident at 208 Greens Road November 28, 2007 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman and apparent suicide of the suspect at 208 Greens Road about 9:50 a.m. on Tuesday (Nov. 27). The victim, Joanna Gonzales, 20, of 720 Sunnyside, suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect, Jason Hawkins (b/m, DOB: 1/20/74), suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound and died at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Officers M. J. Miller and A. Brown reported: Ms. Gonzales, an employee of the Body Luxuries store inside Greenspoint Mall, was opening the store when she was confronted by the armed suspect (Hawkins). Ms. Gonzales was on the phone with the store owner who briefly overheard what was taking place and called mall security and 911. Mall security confronted Hawkins as he was inside the store claiming to be an employee. Security officers called HPD storefront officers when they saw Hawkins grab Gonzales by the neck and point a gun to her head.
