Incident at 700 North York

October 2, 2007 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of two men in the 700 block of North York about 7:15 p.m. on Monday (October 1).

The male victims, 25 to 28 years of age, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities are pending an autopsy by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants J. C. Padilla, R. J. Blain, and P. V. Muñoz reported:

Witnesses stated hearing multiple gunshots in the area. Officers responded to a shooting call in the 3400 block of Navigation and while searching for the location, were flagged down by HFD personnel in the 700 block of North York. Officers observed the two victims with gunshot wounds to their heads in the back seat of a black Dodge Magnum.

Further investigation determined one of the victims might have been kidnapped from his residence.

The investigation is continuing.
