Traffic Incident at 8800 Gulf Freeway Service Road October 5, 2007 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 8800 block of the Gulf Freeway (I-45 South) service road about 5:55 a.m. today (October 5). The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office. HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant M. Bearden and Officer D. Harwell reported: The victim was driving his motorcycle southbound on the Gulf Freeway when he exited at Airport Boulevard. The motorcycle struck the curb, causing the victim to lose control. At this time, it is still undetermined if any other vehicle(s) were involved in the accident. The investigation is continuing.
