Update On Incident at 6417 North Main October 13, 2007 - Charges have been filed against a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man at 6417 North Main about 9 p. m. on Sunday (September 16). The suspect, Carlos Cristobal Velasquez (H/m, DOB: 10-13-78), has been arrested and charged with murder in the 182nd State District Court. HPD Homicide Division Sergeants T. Huynh and M. Dillingham reported: The victim, Jorge Armando Castellanos, 27, of 74 Lyerly, was at the listed location with his friends when he got into an argument with the suspect. After the security guard escorted both men outside, the argument escalated and the suspect pulled out a pistol and shot Castellanos multiple times in the torso. Castellanos was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead. |
