Update on Incident at 12265 Fondren September 14, 2007 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a woman at 12265 Fondren #206 about 7:30 p.m. on July 27, 2007. The suspect, Willie Arthur Paige (b/m, DOB: 3/31/83), is charged with murder in the 232nd State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Jameka Michelle Scott, 24, of 12265 Fondren #206, who suffered stab wounds to the right arm and neck and was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. W. Nabors and Officer T. T. Pool reported: After Ms. Scott failed to show up for work and co-workers were unable to reach her by phone, a friend went to her apartment and found the front door of her residence unlocked and ajar. She went inside and found Ms. Scott lying on the carpet near the kitchen. She then left and called 911. A follow-up investigation led homicide investigators to identify Paige as the suspect in this case. Investigators learned that Paige was in Oakland, California, and coordinated with officers from the Oakland Police Department, who arrested Paige in the early morning hours today (September 14) at a Greyhound bus station.
