Traffic Incident at 13700 Almeda Road September 25-2, 2007 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 13700 block of Almeda Road about 12:26 p.m. on Monday (September 24). Both male drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities are pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office. HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant W.R. Cumbess and Officers B. Banks and Y. Bashir reported: A Freightliner dump truck was northbound on Almeda Road when a gold Dodge Stratus stopped in front of him. The dump truck swerved into the southbound lanes to avoid the Stratus and struck an International concrete truck traveling in the southbound lanes. The investigation is continuing. GO/NJM 9-25-07 |
