Fatal Shooting at 6655 Atwell August 7, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6655 Atwell about 6:30 a.m. today. The victim, Manuel Antonio Santana, 46, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Anthony and Senior Police Officer R. Chappell reported: The victim was found dead near his vehicle parked at his apartment complex at 6655 Atwell. Witnesses reported seeing two Hispanic males near the scene, just prior to the victim apparently attempting to leave for work in his vehicle. Those witnesses heard arguing and then a gunshot.
