Suspects Sought in Fatal Shooting at 12600 Dunlap #922

August 18, 2008 - Houston police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying three suspects wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 12600 Dunlap #922 about 11 p.m. on Saturday (August 16).

The suspects, described only as three black males, were wearing dark clothing and were armed with firearms.

The victim, Ernest Harper, 30, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer T. Miller and Officer M. Miller reported:

Mr. Harper was at his residence with his child and two other children belonging to a female friend, who also lives at the location, when the suspects came into the apartment and began shooting. Harper tried to hide under a bed in one of the bedrooms however the suspects found him and shot him. The suspects then asked the children where the money was hidden, ransacked the entire apartment, then fled the scene.

The children were not injured in this incident.
