Suspect Sought in Fatal Shooting at 7313 Northline

August 18, 2008 - Houston police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 7313 Northline about 3:20 a.m. on Sunday (August 17).

The suspect, Calvin Moore (b/m, DOB: 7-31-87) faces a murder charge. Moore is currently wanted for a robbery under similar circumstances. A photo of suspect Moore is attached to this news release.

The victim, 19, suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. D. Shirley and Officer J. Robles reported:

The victim and two friends, who were visiting Houston from the Huntsville area, met Moore at a gas station and gave him a ride to a nearby apartment complex. Once they arrived at the complex, Moore shot the victim once in what is believed to be a robbery attempt.
