Fatal Shooting at 4114 Curtis

August 18, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man during a home invasion robbery at 4114 Curtis about 10:30 p.m. on Sunday (August 17).

The victim, William Jones, 35, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he later died.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W.J. Anthony and Senior Police Officer R.W. Chappell reported:

The armed suspects kicked the door in at the residence at 4114 Curtis and held Mr. Jones and two other victims at gunpoint while they stole items from all three victims. The suspects then shot Jones multiple times before leaving the scene.

The suspects are described as two black males and one black female. The first male, 18 to 25 years of age, is about 6 feet 1 inch tall, and weighs approximately 170 pounds and has a light complexion. He was wearing a white tank top shirt and blue jean shorts. The second male is in his mid 20s and is about 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs approximately 190 pounds. He has a medium brown complexion and had his hair in braids. He was wearing a white tank top shirt; blue jean shorts and also wore glasses. The female suspect is described as light skinned, chubby, in her mid 30s. She has an alias of “sister.”

The suspects were seen leaving the scene in a light colored late model four-door Buick LeSabre.
