Dead Child Investigation at 6000 Reims Road #2203

December 08, 2008 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a child at 6000 Reims Road about 10:20 a.m. on Sunday (Dec. 7).

The victim, Daeyon Campbell, 3 years of age, was transported to Texas Children’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Officer M. A. Khan reported:

Baby Daeyon attempted to locate some clothing from his dresser drawer when a 32 inch television on top became unstable and fell on him. Daeyon’s mother screamed out and her boyfriend then came in and removed the TV off the child. Daeyon’s mother then called 9-1-1.

Further investigation determined no evidence of foul play and an autopsy will determine baby Daeyon’s cause of death.
