Fatal Auto-Pedestrian Accident at 2100 Delery

December 19, 2008 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 2100 block of Delery about 8:55 a.m. today. 

The two year-old female victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. 

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. T. Hall and Officer R. E. Tallent reported: 

The toddler left her house and walked in front of the brown Ford pickup truck being driven by her father as he was leaving for work.  The father did not realize his daughter was outside or that he had struck her until his wife called him. 

The investigation is continuing.
