Investigation Into Shooting st 5500 El Camino Del Rey

December 30, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a juvenile male at 5500 El Camino Del Rey about 11:25 p.m. on Monday (Dec 29).

The victim, 15, suffered a gunshot wound to the torso and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C.E. Elliott and Senior Police Officer A. Mares reported:

The victim was walking home from a friend’s apartment to his own apartment complex driveway when he was approached by two unknown Hispanic males.  One of the males pulled a gun and began shooting at the victim.  Witnesses heard the suspects yelling during the shooting and then saw them get into a light colored Ford pickup truck which fled the scene.
