Fatal Auto-Pedacyclist Traffic Accident at 3700 North Mccarty February 4, 2008 - Houston police are investigating a fatal auto-pedacyclist traffic accident at 3700 North McCarty about 6:35 p.m. on Saturday (February 2). The victim, Anthony Smith, 37, was pronounced dead on the scene. Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant L.H. Lefler and Officer T. Cox reported: The victim was riding a bicycle, traveling north in the right lane of North McCarty when he was struck from behind by a Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by Raquel Garza, 44. The victim was forced from his bicycle and came to a rest in the ditch along the road. The driver, Ms. Garza, showed no signs of impairment. She was questioned and released from the scene. The investigation is continuing. |
