Murder Charge Filed at 3030 Greenridge February 8, 2008 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a female at 3030 Greenridge about 5 a.m. on Thursday (Feb 7). The suspect, David Francis Anderson (w/m, DOB: 3-6-81), is charged with murder in the 248th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Amy M. Smith, 20, of 3030 Greenridge. Smith suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where she later died. HPD Homicide Sergeant T. Huynh and Officers A. Mares and R. Swainson reported: Ms. Smith and Anderson were in their apartment when Anderson pulled out a pistol. Anderson stated he was showing the pistol to Smith when it accidentally fired.
