Incident at 1445 Lakeside Estates Drive January 04, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 1445 Lakeside Estates Drive about 5:10 p.m. on Thursday (January 3). The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the right side and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Semmelrock and Officer J. Rodriguez reported: The victim was shot inside his truck as he attempted to leave from The Park at Lakeside Apartments. He drove a short distance before crashing his vehicle while exiting the complex. At this time, the suspect, identified only as a male, is still at large.
