Traffic Incident at 11100 East Freeway January 11, 2008 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 11100 block of the East Freeway (Interstate 10 East) about 12:15 a.m. today (January 11). The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office. HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant D. S. Runyan and Officer A. Alaniz reported: The victim attempted to cross the main lanes of the East Freeway on foot when he was struck by a tractor-trailer truck. He was then struck repeatedly by two other vehicles traveling on the freeway. No charges are likely to be filed against any drivers involved in the incident. The investigation is continuing.
