Update on Incident at 7100 Bleker January 26, 2008 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man in the 7100 block of Bleker about 4:15 p.m. on Monday (January 7). The suspect, Joseph Hussein Mohamed (b/m, DOB: 7-1-88), is charged with murder in the 185th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Leroy Dante Pierson, 23, of 7310 Miley. Mr. Pierson suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Dillingham and R.G. Lozano reported: Officers responded to a call of a person down and found Mr. Pierson, deceased, inside of a maroon Isuzu Rodeo. He had been shot several times. At that time, there was no known suspect or motive. Further investigation identified Mohamed as the suspect in this incident and on Friday (January 25) he was arrested without incident.
