Incident at 16966 Northchase January 29, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 16966 Northchase about 6:40 p.m. on Monday (January 28). The victim, Douglas Ismael Morales, 51, of 16966 Northchase # 924, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Torres and Officer S. Anderson reported: Mr. Morales was with a friend sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot at the Royal Phoenician Apartments when the suspect approached them and robbed the friend of her purse. During the robbery, the suspect shot Morales several times before fleeing on foot. The female friend was not injured. There is no description on the suspect at this time.
