Murder Investigation at 15300 Chipman Lane

July 9, 2008 - A man found unresponsive in the 15300 block of Chipman Lane about 6:10 a.m. last Thursday (July 3) has died from injuries he received.

The victim, Jose Hernandez, 40, of Houston, suffered injuries consistent with a type of gunshot wound and was transported to Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital in critical condition. Doctors pronounced him dead on Sunday (July 6).

The Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. T. Parker and Senior Police Officer C. L. Scales reported:

Patrol officers responded to a call of a person down in the 15300 block of Chipman Lane and found Mr. Hernandez on the side of the roadway. HFD personnel then transported him to the hospital.

There are no known witnesses or suspects at this time.
