Man Found Fatally Stabbed at 12100 Northwest Freeway

July 21, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man found at 12100 Northwest Freeway (State Highway 290) about 12:50 a.m. on Saturday (July 19).

The identity of the victim, 34, is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office. He suffered a stab wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C.T. Mosqueda and Senior Police Officer X.E. Avila reported:

The victim was seen walking back to the freeway underpass where witnesses in the area said he sleeps. A friend of his found the victim bleeding from a stab wound. Officers and paramedics were then summoned to the scene.

There are no known witnesses or suspects in this incident at this time.
