Fatal Shooting at 11400 Sandhurst

July 25, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and wounding of another in the 11400 block of Sandhurst about 2:30 p. m. on Thursday (July 24).

The deceased victim suffered a gunshot wound to the torso and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. A second male victim also suffered a gunshot wound to the torso and is currently in the Ben Taub General Hospital Intensive Care Unit.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Chandler and Senior Police Officer L. K. Lovelace reported:

Two groups of males got into an argument in the middle of the street in the 11400 block of Sandhurst. During the argument, the suspects produced pistols and shot both victims. The suspects were seen leaving the scene in a red Mitsubishi Eclipse
