Fatal Shooting at 7700 Corporate

July 28, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7700 Corporate Drive at about 9:40 p.m. on Saturday, July 26.

The victim, Arnold Avelar Funez, 22, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he later died.

Homicide Division Sergeant R.J. Blain and Investigator E. H. Schmidt reported:

Mr. Funez was involved in a disturbance with the suspect in the parking lot of the apartment complex when the suspect shot Mr. Funez.

The suspect is described as a 15 to 20 year old Hispanic male.
