Man Fatally Shot at 6600 Briargate

June 3, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in the 6600 block of Briargate about 8:10 p.m. last Friday (May 30).

The victim, Nathan Fitzgerald Ross, 30, of Missouri City, suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. A. Odom and Officer J. L. Coffelt reported:

Mr. Ross and an unknown male suspect exited a vehicle of unknown make and model at the intersection of Briargate and Rowell. The suspect chased Ross, shot him in the head, and fled the scene in the vehicle.

The suspect is described only as a black male.
