Suspect Arrested in Fatal Shooting at 2414 Southmore Blvd

June 20, 2008 - Charges are pending against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 2414 Southmore Boulevard #2 about 1:20 a. m. on Friday (June 13).

The suspect, Ronald Anthony Booker (b/m, DOB: 8-5-87), faces a murder charge. He is accused in the killing of Raymond Lee Ford, 43, of Houston. Mr. Ford suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. R. McGalin and Officer D.W. Arnold reported:

Mr. Ford was inside his residence when Booker entered and shot him several times.

Further investigation identified Booker as the suspect in this incident and on Thursday (June 19) he was arrested without incident.
