Murder of Convenience Store Clerk at 740 Crosstimbers March 10, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the death of a man found at 740 Crosstimbers about 9:50 a.m. on Saturday (March 8). The male victim, Jose Edward Moses, 70, of 4315 Castor, suffered blunt trauma to the head and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he later died. HPD Homicide Division Officers J. Selvera and D. Vasquez reported: A customer went to a local convenience store to make a purchase when Mr. Moses, who had been severely beaten, was found lying behind the counter. The customer called 9-1-1 and the victim was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries. At this time, robbery appears to be the motive.
