Investigation Into Baby’s Death at 1606 Rosedale March 17, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the death of an infant at 1606 Rosedale about 5:30 p.m. on Friday (March 14). The female victim, eight months of age, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. J. Blain and Officer E. H. Schmidt reported: A father placed his baby daughter in the back seat of his vehicle to take her to daycare in the morning and forgot to drop the infant off. The father left his vehicle in the parking lot at work and when he drove to the daycare in the evening, he discovered his daughter in the child car seat.
