Man Found Floating in Sims Bayou March 25, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the death of a man found at 2001 Central Street about 3 p.m. on Thursday (March 20). The victim’s identity is pending verification from DNA testing. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Blain and Officer E.H. Schmidt reported: The victim was found floating in Sims Bayou at Milby Park. Juan Martin Martinez, 20, of League City had been reported missing by family members after he had not been since leaving a bar near the location the body was found on Friday, March 14, 2008. Family members identified the victim by his clothing and personal property found on him, but final identification is pending.
