Wanted Suspect Arrested in Fatal Shooting at 100 North Super St.

March 31, 2008 - Houston police homicide investigators have arrested a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a juvenile male in the 100 block of North Super Street about 5:20 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12.

The suspect, Juan Gonzalez Jr. (H/m, DOB: 9-7-79), was arrested in the 22900 block of Moselle in Porter, Texas, on Friday (March 28). He is charged with murder in the 179th State District Court.

The victim, identified as Kevin Alfred, 15, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound to the torso and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants B.E. Roberts, C. D. Howard and Senior Police Officers R. Moreno and R. Daniel III reported:

Kevin Alfred and a second juvenile were walking down a concrete bike path when a black vehicle occupied by Gonzalez and other suspects approached them. Gonzalez confronted the juveniles and fired shots at them, striking Alfred. The suspects then fled. Their vehicle was found abandoned near the scene.
