Marcus Anthony Duffy-ThompsonMay 19, 2008 - A suspect has been arrested and charged in three sexual assault incidents in southwest Houston, specifically the Dairy Ashford and Dairy View Lane areas, from September 2007 through March 2008.

The suspect, Marcus Anthony Duffy-Thompson (b/m, DOB: 11-3-86), is charged with two counts of burglary with intent to commit sexual assault and one count of sexual assault in the 228th State District Court. He was arrested on May 14 without incident. A photo of Duffy-Thompson is attached to this release because investigators believe he may have victimized other women.

HPD Sex Crimes Unit Senior Police Officers P. Moreno and D. Garcia reported:

Five sexual assaults, believed to be related, were reported at three southwest Houston apartment complexes:

  • September 27, 2007 at 9301 Dairy View Lane.
  • December 26, 2007 at 9406 Dairy Ashford.
  • January 20, 2008 at 9301 Dairy View Lane.
  • February 19, 2008 at 9301 Dairy View Lane.
  • March 10, 2008 at 9538 Dairy Ashford.

Duffy-Thompson has been charged for the assaults on September 27, 2007, January 20 and March 10, both in 2008. In each incident, an adult female victim was assaulted in a residence or in the parking lot of an apartment complex. The most recent assault occurred inside the victim’s apartment while she was asleep. The suspect entered the apartment through a bedroom window, entered the victim’s bedroom and sexually assaulted her as a small baby was in the room.

Duffy-Thompson was arrested and charged for criminal trespass on March 15 after citizens saw him acting suspicious at 9301 Dairy View Lane (where three of the sexual assaults occurred) and detained him for officers. Sex Crimes investigators interviewed Duffy-Thompson and obtained a voluntary DNA sample from him. Upon completing his jail time for the criminal trespass, Duffy-Thompson was released on May 9, but was arrested and charged on May 14 for three of the sexual assaults after two victims identified him as their attacker, while DNA linked him to the third assault.

Anyone who believes he or she may have been victimized by Marcus Anthony Duffy-Thompson is encouraged to contact the HPD Sex Crimes Unit at 713-308-1180.
