Suspect Arrested in Child’s Death at 8910 Wayfarer

May 20, 2008 - A suspect has been arrested and charged in the death of a child following an incident at 8910 Wayfarer about 3:30 p.m. on Monday (May 19).

The suspect, Camilo Garza III (H/m, DOB: 12-20-66), is charged with capital murder in the 338th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of a three-year-old female who suffered blunt force trauma injuries and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R.D. Chandler and Officer L.K. Lovelace reported:

The child suffered repeated trauma to various areas of her body. A witness called 9-1-1 and requested an ambulance. HFD paramedics responded to the scene and transported the child to a local hospital.
