Composite Sketch Released in Fatal Shooting
at 4010 West Bellfort

Composite SketchMay 27, 2008 - Houston police homicide investigators have released a composite sketch of a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 4010 West Bellfort about 9:10 p.m. on Saturday (May 24).

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, in his late teens, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds. He has very short hair and was wearing blue jeans, a black T-shirt with the number 8 on the back, and a black baseball cap (backward on his head). A composite sketch of the suspect is attached to this news release.

The male victim, in his mid 20s, suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Shirley and Officer J. Robles reported:

The victim was standing in the parking lot of an apartment complex located at 4010 West Bellfort when he got into an argument with the male driver of a vehicle who produced a pistol and shot the victim.

The suspect vehicle is described as a gold, four-door late-model Chevrolet Impala or Malibu, with Texas license plates beginning with 879.
