Fatal Traffic Accident at 2200 State Highway 6 South

November 17, 2008 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 2200 block of State Highway 6 South about 1:15 a.m. on Saturday (Nov. 15).

The identity of the male victim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Chambers and Officer A. Alaniz reported:

The victim was driving a silver Dodge Stratus and exiting a parking lot when his vehicle was struck on its driver's side by a silver Toyota Tacoma traveling south on State Highway 6. The victim was killed and the driver of the Tacoma was transported to an area hospital.

The investigation is continuing.
