Fatal Shooting at 15304 Chipman October 7, 2008 - Charges are pending against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a woman at 15304 Chipman about 11:40 p.m. on Monday (October 6). The suspect, Veyonka Teshel Pouncy (b/f, DOB: 7-1-70), faces a charge of murder. The victim, 25, suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. HPD Homicide Division Sergeants J. Rubio and J.M. DeLaCruz, and Officer K. Lopez reported: The victim walked to her neighbor’s (Pouncy’s) condominium to discuss the victim playing loud music that had bothered Pouncy. An argument ensued and escalated into a physical fight. After the fight, the victim walked away but decided to confront her neighbor again. At that time, Pouncy produced a gun and shot the victim twice. GO/JFC |
