Fatal Shooting at 8100 Maplecrest

October 7, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found in the 8100 block of Maplecrest about 9:35 p.m. on Monday (Oct. 6).

The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.

HPD Homicide Division Officers M. A. Khan and T. T. Pool reported:

Patrol officers responded to a shooting call in the 8100 block of Maplecrest and found the victim bound with duct tape around his ankles, mouth and eyes. Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots and seeing two vehicles, a white sedan with dark tint and a red sedan, leave the scene. Further investigation determined the victim had been taken to the listed address from a different location.
