Fatal Stabbing At 4540 Telephone Road October 13, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man at 4540 Telephone Road about 11:40 a.m. on Friday (Oct. 10). The victim, Clifton Glen Bass, 56, of Houston, suffered a stab wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Carrilllo and Senior Police Officer H. A. Chavez reported: The manager of the South Loop Inn Motel at 4540 Telephone Road went to check on Mr. Bass when he missed checkout time and found him inside the motel room deceased.
