Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 11522 Saulsworth

October 28, 2008 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a woman at 11522 Saulsworth about 8:25 a.m. on Monday (October 27).

The suspect, James R. Thompson (b/m, DOB: 10/12/66), is charged with murder in the 338th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Giselle Teapo, 41, of Houston, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W.P. Booth and Officer A.D. Brown reported:

Ms. Teapo was sitting inside her truck parked on the driveway at her residence when Thompson shot her multiple times. Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots then saw Thompson leave in a dark colored vehicle. Witnesses observed him return and shoot Teapo again before leaving the scene.

Investigation revealed Teapo was involved in a relationship with Thompson but since it had turned violent, Teapo moved in with relatives.

Witnesses identified Thompson as the shooter in this case and he was later arrested without incident.
