Fatal Shootings at 8424 South Breeze Drive

April 8, 2009 - Houston police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and two others injured at 8424 South Breeze Drive about 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday (Apr. 7).

A Hispanic male suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other males also sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to Ben Taub General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant E. Gonzalez and Officer K. Lopez reported:

Investigators responded to a call of shots fired at 8424 South Breeze and found an unknown Hispanic male dead on arrival. Two other males were injured with gunshot wounds. Two of the victims may have been traveling by foot when a white Ford Explorer with large rims drove up. Two Hispanic males got out of the vehicle and opened fire on the two victims. The third victim may have been a bystander.

The suspects, described only as Hispanic males, fled the scene in the Explorer. The motive remains unknown.
